FARRELL WALDEN
Farrell Annette Walden, a lifelong resident of Prague, Okla., passed away at the age of 86 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 16, 1938, to Troy "Biggon" and Jewell (Bland) Terrell in Garden Grove. Farrell was the fourth of sixth children. She graduated from Centerview High School in 1956 and was a member of Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She married her husband, James "Olan" Walden on June 27, 1956. Married for over 50 years, together they built a home filled with warmth, love, memories, and Christian faith. As a dedicated homemaker, Farrell poured her heart into raising her family, always putting their needs first. In addition to her role at home, she worked locally for a few small businesses, where her kindness and sincerity left an impression on everyone she met.
Farrell will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her Lord, family, love for her church, and deep roots in the Prague community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Olan" Walden; her parents Troy "Biggon" and Jewell Terrell; her brothers Barrett, Sherman and Gordon Terrell; brother-in-law Ray Chastain and son-in-law Mark Watkins.
Farrell is survived by her brother Butch and Linda Terrell of Prague; her sister Helen Chastain of Prague; her three daughters: Vicki and Eb Bauer of Choctaw; Melanie and Bennie Roller of Prague; and Shelli Watkins of Shawnee; her grandchildren Kendall and Amy Kingsbury, Kourtney (Hill) and Brad Swan, Jeremey and Jennifer Roller, Justin and Teretta Roller, Whitney (Watkins) and Derek Williams, Brooke (Watkins) and Jeremy Leatherwood and 12 great-grandchildren that she adored and will continue to carry her legacy: Trip, Allie and Luke Swan; Brianna and Aiden Roller; Olan Roller; Tatum, Linkyn, Teegan, and Annie Williams; and Tripp, Poppy, and soon to be born, Rosie Leatherwood.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Elara Caring Hospice and Walker Funeral & Cremation Service for the remarkable care, compassion and support they provided to both our "Nana" and the whole family.
Friends and loved ones paid their respects from 12 -7 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2025, with the family present to greet friends from 5 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A ceremony to celebrate her blessed life was held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2025, in the chapel at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service. Following the ceremony, Farrell was laid to rest next to her husband at Garden Grove Cemetery northeast of Shawnee.
