William Emil "Bill" Harris, 89, raised his family with his wife Beatrice Harris in Baldwin, Pa but currently resides in Lusby Maryland. He passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on November 4, 1935, in Wellsville, Ohio, a son of the late William and Irene Ertle Harris.
Bill was a proud retired street car operator who worked for 29 years with the Pittsburgh Port Authority.
In his free time Bill was as an avid wood worker creating things from wood or creative projects around the house. Bill was an also fantastic artist and was skilled when it came to oil painting. His creative mind brought the most beautiful paintings to life. That said likely his best attribute were his dad jokes. Bill was a funny man, he loved making people laugh and his dimpled smile, big blue eyes, and perfectly combed hair lit up a room. He was happy when he made others smile. That smile along with his loving heart is what makes his passing so hard. He was surely a great man and will forever be missed.
Surviving is his loving wife of 50 years, Beatrice "Bea" Goetz Harris, children, Bill (Tammie) Hurley, Cindy (Allan) Carr, Steven (Nicole) Harris, Belinda (Ryonn) Taylor, Derek Harris, grandchildren, Alicia, Mika, Ashley, Zachary, Brayden, Guy William, Charlyse, Willow Bea, Kiera, Daelan, and eight great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his siblings, Lois Ricciardulli, Marion Schneider, Peg Carnegie and Howard Harris.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Modine Brown, 476 Asa Marie Court Mary Esther, FL 32569, a close family friend of Mr. Harris.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 2-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc. and Crematory, 305 Main St., Imperial (724-695-2800).
