91 years old, passed peacefully at home in Edmonds, WA on March 21, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, following a two-year struggle with cancer. Warren was born in Seattle on August 28, 1930 and graduated from O'dea High School before serving a two year military term in Germany with the US Army. Returning to Seattle after military service, Warren met Nancy LaPage and they were married on April 19th, 1958. They have been married for 64 years and have 7 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Warren and Nancy spent their active retirement years backpacking in the Cascade and Olympic mountains and happily traipsing around the northwest and the country to visit their children and grandchildren. Warren always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Warren is survived by his wife, Nancy, their children, Kathleen Knifong, Maureen Hyzer (Steve), Karen Kane, Laureen Kane, Merriann Kane-John, Edward Kane (Grace) and Annamarie Peters (Dan); grandchildren Kevin John, Kelsey Fenner (Keith), Justin John (Alex), Kane Peters and Sophie Knifong and great-grandchildren Brady Fenner and Mack Fenner. We especially thank Kathy Hill, from Kaiser Permanente Hospice services, for her exceptional care. The funeral service will be a private family ceremony.

It was a pleasure and honor to serve Warren and his family and I'm thankful I was able to be there so near the end. I thank them for welcoming me into their home, especially Nancy with her enthusiastic wave. I have fond memories of Warren's hiking stories. I hope to visit Ape Caves with my kids before the end of the year on his recommendation and in memory of him.
