To know Valda was to love him, he was a wonderful father, brother, and grandfather. Born in Rhine, GA, he was the youngest of seven children. He loved to farm and watch his kids and grandkids grow. He loved going to the mountains every year that he could. Family was his greatest blessing; he always loved his family and friends.
Valda was preceded in death by his parents, Will Kennedy and Lila Mae Gay Kennedy, his wife, Gladys Kennedy, siblings, Jerry Kennedy, Tom Kennedy, Floyd Kennedy, Laverne Patisaul, daughter-in-law, Valerie Kennedy, and great-grandson Jay Judy.
Survivors include his sons, Hank (Kay) Kennedy of Kite, John Berry (Kemper) Kennedy of East Dublin, daughter, Mary Kennedy of East Dublin, grandchildren, Marie (Brandon) Judy, Matt (Helen) Kennedy, Bryan Kennedy, Bryson Miller, Zach Rountree, Kaci (Madilyn) Swift, brother, Clarence (Ezelle) Kennedy, sisters, Bridie Mae Ellison, Warnell McCant.
A graveside service will be held at Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Cadwell, at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 15, 2022. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
