Thomas Martin Pfaff died peacefully on June 10, 2022. He grew up on the lakes of Waterford where he enjoyed sailing, skiing and where he met his High School sweetheart, Dawn (Turner) Pfaff.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Boyd Pfaff.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dawn (Turner) Pfaff, his son, Adam (Samantha) Pfaff, and his daughter Emily (Matthew) Blanford, as well as his grandchildren Mona Mara Pfaff and Elijah August Blanford. He is survived by his mother Martha Pfaff, his sisters Elizabeth (Richard) Signell, Rhonda (Frank) Darling and his brothers Brad (Leslie) Pfaff and Ben Pfaff.
In his 30 plus year career with Ford Motor Company he held various positions in accounting, finance, marketing and sales. He was instrumental in the launch of multiple applications that are still in use today.
He enjoyed cooking feasts for his family (most notably, his famous enchiladas), a good nap in a fine chair, and a golden retriever by his side. He was a licensed builder, who enjoyed using his hands for projects both big and small. His summers were usually spent on the coast of Lake Michigan in the Upper Peninsula where he could be found on the beach with a mystery novel. Tom loved camping, hiking and taking in the great outdoors.
Tom had a vast love for music and enjoyed listening to records (a little too) loud. He was the great composer of his one & only hit "Yellow Camaro." He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
A memorial celebration will be held on Monday, June 27th, at 1pm at the Sylvan Lake Community Center. Memorial donations may be made to the Eva Burrell Animal Shelter, 6091 W Old US Highway 2, Manistique, MI 49854 / 901-341-1000.
