Stella Mae Sizemore Jones, age 101, of Florida, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Lincoln County, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024. Born Monday, December 25, 1922, in the Highland Community of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late George & Louanne Young Sizemore. Stella Mae was the widow of the late Allen Kenneth Jones.
Stella Mae grew up in the Highland Community, where she learned to work hard alongside her dad and mom and two sisters, Beatrice "Mama Bee" McGuffey and Margaret Owsley. She and Kenneth raised their children in Ohio, then moved to Florida when they retired. Stella Mae will be remembered for her strong faith and the deep love that she had for her Lord.
Stella Mae is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Zettlemeyer (Randy) of Colorado; one daughter-in-law, Doris Jones; four grandchildren, Kelly Whitlock, Tracey Atkinson (Dale), Cindy Engle (Brad), and Amanda Deich (Joshua); seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth G. Jones; one daughter, Pamela Haverland; one grandson, Kristopher Reinert; and two sisters, Beatrice "Mama Bee" McGuffey and Margaret Owsley.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, with burial to follow in Arlington Memorial Gardens in Mount Healthy, Ohio.
