Ruth A. Caruso, 87, of Hazlet, died peacefully in her sleep on May 30, 2022.
She is predeceased by her parents Helen C. Byrne, James V. Caruso and her twin sister, Constance Caruso.
She is survived by her brother, James V. Caruso and by her extended family of nieces and nephews from the Caruso and Bryson families.
Ruth was a loyal and loving presence to her many dear friends.
Ruth was a competitive pool and card player. She loved the game of Pinochle and played Bingo each week. She always enjoyed having fun with her family and friends.
She was a devoted Catholic and parishioner of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Keansburg, and a participate with Holy Family Catholic Church in Hazlet.
An avid animal lover, she was a sponsor to the SPCA, the ARC and the Autism Society of America.
She was a champion of all veterans, especially Navy veterans like her brother.
Known as outspoken, caring, and sentimental; she was a steadfast friend, a loving sister and aunt, and she will be greatly missed.
There will be a private family burial.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg.
