Bob passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Gadsden RMC.
Those preceding Bob in death include his parents, Marlin Carroll and Mildred Nance Reynolds; his brothers, Wayne Carroll (Phyllis), Roger Carroll, Kenny Carroll, and Michael Reynolds; and his brother-in-law, Tom Musick.
Left to cherish the memory of Bob are his wife of 58 years, Rosemary Carroll; his daughter, Brandi Ward (Jeramy); his son, Blake Carroll; three grandchildren, Jeremiah Ward, Connor Carroll (Brooke), and Colton Behr; two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Creed Carroll; his brother, Neil Reynolds (Leslie); chosen granddaughters, Sadie and Tessa Riley; numerous nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law, Dianne Musick.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Eubanks, Ron Hayes, Joe Plummer, David Spurgeon, William Whitehead, and Harley Goble. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Cothran, Gary Graves, Cooper Carroll, and Creed Carroll, and the Jim Battles Sunday School Class.
Bob was a 1965 graduate of Emma Sansom High School, a US Army veteran, and a retiree of Goodyear (40 years of service). He was well-known for his years of officiating youth and high school baseball and basketball. Bob was a deacon of North Glencoe Baptist Church, where he loved distributing candy to everyone each week. He loved Atlanta Braves baseball, gardening, and Alabama football. Bob will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers the family requests for donations to be made to one of Bob's fondest charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org or to a charity of your choice in his memory.
