Peggy Ann Martin, 81, of Brownsburg, passed away March 30, 2025. She was born December 13, 1943, in Little Rock, AR, daughter of Arthur and Margaret (Dailey) Middleton.
As I look back on Peggy 's life, (my momma) also affectionately known as Bunny, I realize how amazing and talented she truly was. I am unsure if I ever told her these things, but I pray she knew how much I loved and appreciated her. Peggy was a wonderful wife, mother, and nana to Taylor Leigh; sister to four brothers, Clark, Mike, Paul, and Steve.
She lived life, laughing, smiling, joking, and let's not forget shopping!
She loved the holidays and made every party and gathering so beautiful. Bunny was the life of the party. She never met a stranger and was blessed with many friends.
Peggy's personality was larger than life, her warm infectious laugh, and the way she whistled as she entered a room. This was to let you know she was making an appearance! These are only a few things I will always remember about her funny personality.
As a Lead Accountant for several years, I remember she could run a 10 key calculator faster than anything you can imagine! She enjoyed work as well as her coworkers, as they became her lifelong friends. There really wasn't anything she wouldn't do for anyone, except maybe not play board games or cards! (if you know you know)!!
Peggy was an amazing swimmer, just ask her brother Paulie! I believe she medaled! She also played volleyball and tennis; she loved to sew, crochet, cross-stitch, quilt and make baby blankets.
She was an artist, painting numerous oil paintings, which are beautiful! She loved to travel anywhere and everywhere.
Peggy loved music of all variations and would dance and sing all through the house! She adored horticulture and definitely had a green thumb.
God blessed Peggy with many gifts and talents. She was a Christian and loved attending church.
Did I mention she also had a beautiful singing voice?
So, as I sit here as her only child (daughter) and look back on our relationship over the years, I am so grateful we were able to reconnect and bond as mother and daughter again. No Regrets -Just Love; forever, and always in our hearts.
Mom, I will love you and miss you for the rest of my life. Rest easy my sweet momma.
Peggy's wishes were that her final resting place be in TX. She was a beloved mother, nana, sister, and friend!
Isaiah 41:10: "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand."
