Paul, Pee Jay, The Dad, The Grand Poo Pau, Paul Lee Jones Sr., was all these names and more. He was a father, grandpa, uncle, brother and friend to many. Sunrise was 10/22/38 at St. Joes hospital Elmira NY. Sunset was 3/24/22. He served in the USAF where he received a general discharge. He changed the way they do military service. Back in the day, after boot camp, you left the US to go overseas. The wording said "out of the country." He was afraid to fly so when they assigned him to leave he went to Canada! They found him and was going to Court Marshall him: however, he successfully argued that Canada IS out of the country! The rule is now written you go overseas! Dad worked 20+ years at EOP helping people get their GED, teaching people how to act, how to get job interviews and fill out applications. His second career was at Meals on Wheels making sure the people that needed to be fed, ate! Dad was predecessed by his dad Bill, mom Virginia (Maude), Uncle Frank (Yock) and his wife Ada, brothers Mickey (Bill Jr.) and Jimmy, beloved sister Nancy, sister in law Doris, ex wife Sara (Margie), life partner Denise, grandson Tyler and so many other family and friends. We'd be here all day if we listed them. He's survived by sons Paul Jr. and Chris, daughters Kari, Monica and Koyoa, along with special daughters Netti, Tammy H. and Natalie, daughter in law Tammy, brother Bobby (Ester) and a host of grand kids, nieces nephews, cousins and goddaughter Jill. Special shout out to his ride or die guy Julius. Dad always told us, have F U N and if u can't bump the ding ding. You will be missed. Family and friends are invited to his memorial service on Monday, April 4th at 1 pm. Committal prayers and interment, with military honors will follow in Woodlawn National Cemetery.
