Patrick Shimek Obituary
Pat was born on October 4, 1951, to the late Raymond and Mae (Hotchkiss) Shimek.
He was born and raised in Mosinee where he worked on the family homestead all of his life, until he was no longer able to. Some of his favorite past times were watching the Packers and Brewers. One of his most memorable moments was attending the Donald Driver's Retirement Ceremony with his brother and niece. Pat will always be remembered for his sarcasm and wit.
Pat is survived by his sister, Carol (Bob) Nest, Wausau; nephews, Bill (Holly) Nest, Oak Creek, Dave (Lynn) Nest, Rib Mtn, Jeff (Kate) Nest, Westly Chapel, FL, and Ryan Nest, Wausau; niece, Cassie (Brock) Rasmussen, Rib Lake; and a sister-in-law, Karen Shimek, Athens. Besides his parents, Pat was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert, and Steven Shimek.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. Pastor Phyllis Smoot will officiate. Burial will be at Moon Cemetery, Town of Bergen. Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service, all at the Funeral Home. Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.bestefh.com.
