Nathan Daniel Boisclair, age 38, almost 39, died on Sunday, June 19th, after many years of battling drug and alcohol addiction. He had recently been sober for many months and doing very well. He was making numerous plans for himself and his children for the upcoming year on how to help his son better handle his ADHD in school and his daughter start high school. He adored his children. He said the only thing in life worth fighting for was his children. We will never know why he felt the need to use again that day, just that he had recently had a bright outlook on life and a renewed uplift in attitude. Because of his recent enthusiasm and happy demeanor, we believe this was purely an accidental happening.
Nathan was born in Detroit, Michigan to David Freel and Denise Boisclair. He spent all of his youth in the Wolverine Lake and Union Lake areas with his mother and father enjoying the water. He graduated from Military School with honors and had taken some college courses. He had presently been a fork-lift operator but had many jobs previous to this and was very hard worker. He always gave 100% to whatever he did and was a perfectionist. One of his passions was music. He loved many types of music and in his younger years loved dance and playing the viola. He spent a great deal of time playing video games with his children, one of all their most enjoyable pastimes. He was a very friendly person, loved meeting new people, and just chatting with friends and family. He wore his heart on sleeve and had a big, forgiving soul.
We will miss you terribly.
He is survived by his beloved children Jayden Ray Leeann Boisclair and Dominic Jacob Boisclair. His father David Freel (Sarah), brother Doss Freel (Teegan), sister Darcie Freel, his mother Denise Boisclair, brother Michael Mehrman, sister Monique Nash (Scott), and many nieces and nephews. His grandmother Betty Weaver and stepfather John Mehrman were also a large part of his upbringing.
Please don't send flowers. For any contributions please send donations to the Pontiac Rescue Mission. Thank you.

I was fortunate enough to have met Nate through his brother Mike. He always had that quirky smile every time I seen him, like he knew something I didn't. I know he will be missed, but never forgotten. For the family of Nate, my heart goes out to you. If there's anything I can do, please let me know.
