Nancy Jean Cunningham Reese, 83, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Saturday, June 11, 2022, at her home with her loving family.

Born Tuesday, January 24, 1939 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter (Bill) Daniel Cunningham and the late Laura (Dolly) R. Cunningham.

She graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1956.

Nancy began her career at Potomac Edison then left to be a homemaker and raise her two daughters. She returned to work several years later and retired from First Federal Bank in 1992.

After retirement she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren in the summers and spending the winters in Florida with her husband, Perry. During her lifetime, Nancy was involved with the LCW, the Red Hat Society and many church activities. She participated in her very own art show and several quilt shows.

Nancy was very active. She enjoyed sewing, painting, reading, gardening, baking and traveling. She was a devoted wife for 63 years.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tamara Derr and friend Doug Snodderly of Hagerstown, MD, and Teresa Jensen and husband Duane of Charles Town, WV; grandson, Joshua Konecki of Hagerstown, MD; granddaughter, Elizabeth Roane and Ryan Akers of Williamsport, MD; two brothers, Walter G. Cunningham and wife Nancy, and Thom Cunningham and wife Carolyn; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Franklin Reese.

Family will receive friends Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 110 West North St., Charles Town, WV 25414 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm for visitation. The service will be at 3:00 with the Rev. Thom Cunningham and Pastor Duane Jensen officiating. There will be a meal to follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Nancy's name to Hospice of Washington County,11370 Caring Pathway Lane, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
