Michael C. Broderick, of Whitewater Township, passed away on April 15, 2022, at the age of 62. He was taken way too soon and left many hearts broken. Mike was born on June 8, 1959, in Lakewood, Ohio to Robert and Helen (nee Von Gries) Broderick. Mike married Julia Plummer on July 14, 1979, and they were blessed with 4 children: Christy, Stephanie, Eric & Tim. He taught his children many things in life that they will greatly miss like his GPS skills anywhere in the city to get them home and his many short cuts which happen to be the scenicroutes. His ability to help fix anything around the house and if he couldn't do it "he knew someone that could." Mike enjoyed golfing, NASCAR, riding his Harley and hunting. His go to for clothing was camo.
Mike was also a collector (even though some would consider it hoarding,) he would know if you borrowed anything or if anything was moved. Mike worked for Western Hills Building & Supply Company for many years. Physically he had to give up working in 2010 due to his cancer. This gave him more time to spend with family and to be outdoors, which he loved. He always enjoyed taking and teaching his grandchildren to love the outdoors.
Mike will be dearly missed by his loving wife Julia Broderick; children: Christy (Stan) McBride, Stephanie (Brad) Steffee, Eric (Kayla) Broderick and Tim (Sara Reuscher) Broderick; cherished grandchildren that referred to him as "Papa": Aiden, Austin & Ava McBride, Abbie & Amelia Steffee & Charlotte Broderick; siblings: Robert (Joanne) Broderick, Linda (Barry) Ashley, & Janet Vandermark. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Greg Casoni, Richard (Darlene), David (Pam), Jeff (Donnie Roy) Plummer, Becky (Jay) Wingard, Melissa Mattox and many nieces, nephews & extended family, and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Helen (nee Von Gries) Broderick; brother David Broderick and sister-in-law: Diana Casoni.
Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 4 pm to 7 pm & Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am. Burial will follow at New Haven Cemetery. If the weather is nice and you have a Motorcycle, please ride it in memory of Mike.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Funeral Home representative will be available during the visitation to accept memorials. If you are unable to attend, you may mail your donation made payable to American Cancer Society to the funeral home. They will notify the family of your donation and mail to charity.

So sorry to see this! I lived right across the street from Mike and his family for years in the 70´s. Mike was my buddy and I recall hanging out with him at his house and getting to know everyone there. We used to go Trap Shooting with his Uncle Cliff if my memory serves me right. We also were the same age and went to school together for years. I tried to find him on Social Media for years and couldn´t find anything about him or any leads on his whereabouts. I left Delhi for the Marines in 1977 and ended up living on the West Coast and currently living in Washington State. Mike I´m sorry I couldn´t find you I thought a lot about you all my life and hoped to see you again. RIP Brother
