Maureen Barker Obituary

Born in Bayshore, Long Island, Maureen had resided in Ridgewood before moving to Hawthorne in 1980. Maureen had worked in Donor Recruitment for the Bergen Community Blood Center in Montvale for over 40 years.
Maureen Barker was the beloved wife of Earle "Skip" Barker, Jr. of Hawthorne. Loving mother of Michael Barker of Hawthorne, and William Barker and his wife Robin also of Hawthorne. Dear grandmother of Gavin and Jace Barker. Sister of Michael Connelly of Mahwah, Thomas Connelly of Dumont, and the late Patricia and Christopher Connelly.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue Hawthorne. Interment will follow at the Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday evening November 28, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

I think of Maureen almost every day. We did many exciting and fun things together. She will always be special in my heart. Kind thoughts to Skip and family at this very tender tome. Janet
