Mary Mitchell Obituary

Mary Lou Mitchell 78 of Normalville passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at Eicher's Personal Care Home, Normalville. Mary was born April 25, 1943 in Ligonier the daughter of the late Joseph and Ella Betz Kunkle. Mary was a 1960 graduate of Ramsay High School and a member of the Paradise United Methodist Church, the Bullskin Twp. Lions Club and the Bullskin Twp. VFD Auxiliary, where she held various positions. She was formerly employed as dietician for Frick Hospital; she loved to travel, and was employed by Love's Tours. She was also an avid Steeler fan. Surviving are her children, Roy Mitchell, John Mitchell and wife Brenda both of Normalville, David Mitchell and wife Marie of Harrisburg, NC and Joey Mitchell of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Melissa (Bruce), Bethany (Ryan), Laura (Davey), Bryan (Melina),Tyler, Sara, Katelyn, Jack and Kierstin; great grandchilden, Kira, Gunner, Madyson, Brayden, Addilyne, Conner,Cayden, Lily, Bryan, Dominic, Cameron, Chloe, Dash and Star; a sister, Goldie Mowry of Acme; also numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John D. "Jack" Mitchell, brothers, Joseph and Donald Kunkle; sisters, Kathryn Geary, Margaret Clark and Louella Ferreira and an infant brother, Stanley Kunkle. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 8 pm Thursday at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. MAIN STREET MT. PLEASANT and 10 to 11am Friday at the Paradise United Methodist Church 105 Hoke Road Mt. Pleasant where services will be held at 11am with Rev. Roger Howard officiating.
