Mary Jo McCord Bryan, 75, of Woodbury passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford surrounded by her family. She was born in Franklin, TN. To her parents, Marvin McCord and Elizabeth McArthur Murphy.
She is survived by her loving children, Terry (Brandie) Bryan of Sherwood, OR., Sherry (Alfred) Emanuel of Woodbury and Randy Bryan of Shelbyville. She was a blessed Nanny to her grandchildren, Hunter (Gena) Bryan, Tori, Zoie and Zach Bryan, Brittany (Quinton) Thompson and Elizabeth Emanuel; great grandchildren, Amiyah, Kya and Nariah Thompson and Teiah Bryan; siblings, Clyde (Betty) McCord, Betty Ann (William) Green and Arlene (Larry) Sanders all of Woodbury and her beloved dog, Maggie. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, J.T. McCord, Margie Burks and John McCord.
Ms. Bryan was a member of the Woodbury Pentecostal Church and her favorite bible verse was Psalm 23. She was a retired CNA where she worked in home health and made lasting relationships with the families she was privileged to help. Jo loved being outside whether it was enjoying her flowers or traveling. She also enjoyed collecting quilts. Most of all she was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Being with her family made her most proud.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Clayton Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Jennings Cemetery, Statesville, TN.
Visitation with her family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM, Friday, February 4, 2022 and Saturday from 11 am until her time of service.
