Fort Montgomery, NY
Marie C. Cavaliere passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at her residence in Fort Montgomery, NY. She was 78 years old. Daughter of the late Gaetano and Catherine Schreutelkamp Cavaliere, she was born on May 25, 1943, in Cornwall, NY.
Marie had many jobs throughout the years but the jobs she cherished the most were being a Sister, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She spent her time surrounded by her family.There was always something to celebrate, and Marie was always there, dressed to impress. She passed down her love of all things that sparkle to all her girls. Her laugh was contagious, her style was impeccable. She found great joy with her beloved cats. Her love for animals inspired her to volunteer with ASPCA.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving sister, Stella Root of Highland Falls ; beloved daughters: Gail Sporbert and her husband, Michael of Fort Montgomery ; and Tina Morgan and her husband, Tony Ortiz of Highland Falls ; adored grandchildren: Jade, Alexa and her husband Travis, Catherine and her husband Hugo, Mollie, Seth, Talia, and Dante, great grandchildren and the absolute joys of her life Ava, Travis Michael, Layla and Vivien, nieces: Kathy Ray and Cindy Root, and by her best friend whom she chatted with daily, Ruth Dickens.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm with a Chapel Service immediately following at 7:00 p.m. at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 main St., Highland Falls, NY.
Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope, NY.
