Pawtucket – Lois M. (Reynolds) Allard, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 18, 2022, with family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred C. Allard. Born in Providence, Lois lived most of her life in Pawtucket, and was a daughter of the late Francis A. and Dorothy C. (Cavanaugh) Reynolds.
Mrs. Allard worked as an elementary school teacher for over twenty-five years, having taught at both Varieur School in the Pawtucket School Department, and at St. Cecilia School, until her retirement. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. John Paul II Parish in Pawtucket. Mrs. Allard served as a co-coordinator the parish's prayer line, having helped countless parishioners overcome many hard times and difficult days. She was also the captain of the parish's annual Catholic Charity Drive. Lois will be lovingly remembered by her family, fellow parishioners, former students, and by all whose lives she has touched over the past eighty-five years.
Mrs. Allard leaves four children, Marybeth (Aeriel) of Warwick, Therese (Brian) of Pawtucket, Gerard (Gina), and Suzanne (Dennis) all of Rehoboth; six grandchildren, Sean, Sr., Melissa, Dylan, Matthew, Michael, and Lindsay; two great-grandchildren, Madison, and Sean, Jr., and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Reverend Paul Reynolds, and Peter Reynolds, and the dear cousin of the late Paula (Brennan) Kohler, who was like a sister to her.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church (St. John Paul II Parish), 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. VISITATION will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to St. John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02861 would be appreciated. TRIPPFUNERALHOME.com
