WORCESTER – Lisa M. (Pluff) Hayes, 60, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family and friends, on Monday, May 2.
She leaves her partner, Roland Barrows, Jr. of Worcester; her mother, Jeanne A. Dalton of Auburn; her sister, Susan Orpen and husband Stephen, of Sutton; her brother, Edward Pluff and wife Carolyn, of Auburn; two nieces, Jessica Orpen of Webster and Elise Pluff of Killeen, TX; two nephews, Daniel Orpen of Sutton and Evan Pluff of Oxford; and her beloved cat "Miss Ernie".
Lisa attended Grafton High School and graduated from Salter College. She spent many years working for Hayes Trucking and Paving Company. She was proud to have acquired a CDL license. In recent years, she worked for Fedex and was also a bartender.
Lisa had a huge heart and was always taking care of others. She often made small gift baskets for people, just to brighten their day. She was an incredible cook and avid gardener. She enjoyed going to the beach, watching NASCAR races, and spending time with friends and family. Lisa loved vacationing in Aruba and Daytona Beach. She left a lasting imprint on our lives. We will love and miss her forever.
The family would like to thank Notre Dame Hospice and Rollie's sister, Patty, for their love and care of Lisa.
In honoring Lisa's wishes, there are no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 21, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at the American Legion Post 92, Delisle Goulet, 60 Worcester St, Grafton, MA 01519

My deepest condolences to the entire family of Lisa and especially to her sister Susan. I grew up many years ago with them both and treasured the friendships we had made. I remember a skating time when Lisa and Sue were on the pond where we grew up. Please know she will be in my prayers and she rest in peace. God Bless you all. Respectfully, Joe C.
