Marion "Lee" Pemberton was born on Friday, September 9, 1988 in Troy NC. He became an angel and entered eternal life early Sunday morning on July 3, 2022 at First Health Montgomery Memorial of Troy, NC.
Lee was a long term resident of Mt.Gilead, NC where he accepted Christ at an early age, and was a member of Chestnut A.M.E. Zion Church. He received his education in the Montgomery County School System and graduated from West Montgomery High School in 2006. Over the years, Lee held many jobs, some which included: The Foundry, Saputos, Capels, Troy Lumber, Jordan Lumber and currently Mohawk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ms. Amy LaRose Ingram and Mr James Marion Pemberton; Maternal grandparents, Mr. Roosevelt and Mrs. Margaret Miller Ingram; paternal grandparents, Mr. John Henry and Mrs Ollie Mae Pemberton; his grandfather, Mr. Curtis Steele; uncles, Mr. Lee Edward Pemberton, Mr. Ronald and Mr. Leon Pemberton; aunt, Mrs. Rosa Marie Cunningham; special aunts, Ms. Nettie Ruth Pemberton and Ms. Emma Jean Knight.
Lee was most definitely a very funny and nonchalant character. He was one that enjoyed meeting people, playing horseshoes, listening to music, reading, dancing and being the life of the party just like his father. Continuing his father's legacy, Lee began working in the community during his free time going from yard to yard to make them look "Damn Good" in his words. Lee always had a joke and a punch line for every conversation, always ending with a "Have A Beautiful Day" and/or "One Love, One Lee". He was passionate about his family, adored his sisters and gathered together with them often to have a "Good Damn Time".
Those left to cherish and to honor his memory and legacy are his siblings Mrs. Olivia Chantel Pemberton Long (Josh), Ms.Rhonda Avis Drake, and Mrs.Kimberly Ingram McLaurin (Shea) all of High Point NC, Ms. Genvondia Ann Jackson and Ms.Yolanda Ann Jackson, both of Albemarle NC; two nephews Amiyr Rondrell Drake of High Point NC and Jaslayvion Raja Jackson of Albemarle NC; three special uncles, Mr. Allen Ingram (Valerie) and Mr. Roosevelt Ingram Jr. of Mt. Gilead NC and Mr.Ronald Ingram (Pamela) of VA, Special cousins, Ms. Shannon Pemberton and Ms.LaToya Knight of Mt. Gilead, NC and two very special girls whom he loved dearly, A'Rhiya Chermaine Little and Alaina Cali Little (Shalek'Qua) of Mt.Gilead, NC, He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and a ton of special friends. Lee will be missed tremendously by his siblings, family and the community. "One Love, One Lee".
