A memorial service and burial at Murray Pernell family cemetery will be held at a later date. Flowers and visitors will be accepted at the home of Marie Poole, 2519 Seven Paths Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Shugart (Deane) of Melbourne, FL, son, Nicholas Champion (Ashley) of Palm Bay, FL, brother, Walter Edward Champion, Jr. of Pittsboro, sisters, Ivy Ayscue (James Carrol) of Louisburg, Kim Ayscue (Steve) of Castalia, Robin Martin (Bobby) of Louisburg, Carolyn Tharrington (Sherwood) of Louisburg and Jerri Champion of Louisburg, grandchildren, Rusty, Kaylee, Derris, Aubrey, Melanie, Zoey, Nicholas, Hannah, Christian and Aaron, great grandchild, Bryson and many nieces and nephews.
