Karen Beck Obituary

Karen Beck, 71, of Ickesburg, passed away Monday May 16, 2022 at Northern Dauphin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Millersburg.
Born July 24, 1950, in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of late Lawrence and Geraldine (Ehrisman) McCann. On November 16, 1967, Karen married Kenneth Beck with whom she has shared a union of 54 years.
Karen had worked as a Waitress until retiring from the Gardenia Restaurant after nearly 15 years. When she was not working, she appreciated the opportunity to experience the food and atmosphere at other restaurants. Karen possessed a kind heart – one which she demonstrated in her love for animals and the care she exhibited for stray cats. She also enjoyed movies and challenging her mind with movie trivia.
Karen is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughters, Kelly (Victor) Clegg and Tracy (Peter) Fife both of Newport; grandchildren, Stephanie Arnold and Shane Belle and great granddaughter, Emmajo Mitchell. She is also survived by a sister, Sandra McCann and brother, Dennis (Lorraine) McCann, both of Lancaster. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by an infant son and a sister, Linda Looker.
