Joseph Traylor Obituary

Joe Traylor, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the age of 76.
Beloved husband of 53 years to Nancy Traylor. Son of the late Joseph Traylor Sr and Mildred
Traylor. Devoted father of Alexis Traylor of Saint Charles, MO and Allyson "Ally" Traylor of
Dallas, TX. Eldest brother of Teddie (Diane) Traylor of Ellerslie, GA and the late Harriett
Traylor Rickman and the late Thomas Kenneth Traylor. Adoring PawPaw to grandpups Emmi, Bella and Simba. Respected and
admired uncle to his nieces and nephews. Loyal and loving friend to many.
Joe was born August 18, 1945, in Wadley, Alabama and grew up in Columbus, GA where he met
his wife and best friend. He attended Albany State University prior to serving in the United
States Air Force. Retiring in 2015, Joe worked for Southwestern Bell/AT&T for 36 years, where
he was blessed with lifelong friendships. As an ambassador of Christ, Joe dedicated himself to
continual ministry within the church and the community. Joe fiercely loved his family and loved
creating special memories and opportunities for his girls. He enjoyed road trips, country music,
watching classic westerns, Dallas Cowboys football games and staying connected with his dear
friends and family. Joe had a memorable smile, energetic laugh, genuine personality and
unwavering spirit. He was known and loved by many, and his legacy lives on through the
positive impact he made throughout his life.
We will forever love him, celebrate him and carry him with us throughout the rest of our lives.
