JoAnn Roybal Medina, 71 of Albuquerque, passed away on June 1, 2022, after a valiant fight against cancer. A lifelong Taoseña, JoAnn spent her career working in the legal system serving as a paralegal for over 20 years working both in legal aid and domestic violence case management. Toward the end of her career, JoAnn spent time working with the Taos Schools. Her generosity and hospitable nature were unparalleled.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents Cidelia "Dia" and Beceslados Roybal and siblings Aaron Roybal and Beatrice Duran. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Carlos Medina and children Clarence Medina, Lawrence "Lolo" (Lisa) Medina, Walter (Olivia) Medina, Gabriel Facio, Carla (Scott) Love, and Ezekiel "Zeke" (Sabrina) Medina. She is also survived by her siblings Jacob Roybal of Colorado Springs and Matilda (Steven) Vialpando of Denver. She loved each of her amazing grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much and loved spending time coloring and crafting with her 5 grandsons whom she lived near. She also leaves behind countless familía including aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to personally thank those who visited her in her last moments of life and have supported JoAnn throughout her cancer journey.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 9,2022 at 2:00pm at Taos Assembly of God Church.
