Jesse Huell Lamberth of Goodlettsville, TN, entered the gates of Heaven at the age of 88 on May 23, 2022. Jesse died peacefully at home with his beloved wife Mary and family. Jesse will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Mary Lynn (Cawthon) Lamberth; his children, Charissa Allen (Joe), Dorla Smith (Ty), Sonya Paradiso (Lou), Jeffrey Lamberth, and Jason Lamberth; his twelve grandchildren; his ten great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Roy Lamberth and Elizabeth Lucas. He was a devoted husband, father, uncle to many neices and nephews, and friend to all. Jesse was born on January 23, 1934, in Cottontown, TN where he grew up farming with his family. He graduated from White House High School in 1952. In 1955 he married the love of his life, "Miss Mary". He later went on to earn an Economics Degree from Austin Peay College in 1963 where he was named the Governor of the college by the student body for his leadership, scholarship, and service to the college. His graduate studies were done at Rollins College, Winter Park, FL. Jesse had a long, successful 35-year career with Southern Bell where he retired in 1991. He started as a lineman in 1956 and retired in 1991 in Jacksonville, FL as the Operations Manager of Personnel for the State of Florida. Jesse was a man of God and actively involved in his church, First Baptist Church Hendersonville for 21 years. Jesse also served as a deacon at First Baptist Church Orlando, FL and First Baptist Church Jacksonville, FL. He was an avid golfer. His favorite golfing memory was representing the United States against Great Britain in a Pro-am golf tournament at four historic British Open golf courses. He was also a loyal Florida Gator Football fan. But there was nothing he loved more than God, His Word, and his family. He took Joshua 24:15 to heart, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
