Jerry D. Barnes, of Whitewater Twp, passed away on April 11, 2022, at the age of 84. Jerry was born on March 29, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Freeman and Edith (nee Whitney) Barnes. He graduated from William Henry Harrison High School in 1956. Jerry married Sandra Disbro on February 7, 1959, and together they were blessed with 3 children: Pam, Sue, and Steve. Jerry was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting his muzzleloader.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife: Sandra Barnes; children: Pam (Dan) Halcomb, Sue (Bill) Guiher, and Steve (Rachel) Barnes; grandchildren: Jason Halcomb, Kristen (Tony) Ingram, Michael Guiher, Morgan Barnes, and Mason Barnes; great grandchildren: Whitney and Reagan Halcomb and Kelsey Ingram; sister: Charlene Kornmann; and brother-in-law: Bill (Barb) Disbro.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents: Freeman and Edith Barnes.
Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, Ohio on April 22, 2022, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow at Miamitown Cemetery.
The family requests memorials to be made to the American Heart Assoc. or Cancer Society. A funeral home representative will be present to help the day of the service. If you are unable to attend, you may mail your memorial to Brater Winter funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030 or go online to make your donation.
