Jeremy Davis Obituary

Jeremy Dwain Davis, 49, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on April 20, 2022.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 25, 2022, at Chaparral Hills Baptist Church with Danny Allen officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jeremy was born in Odessa, Texas on February 1, 1973, to Dennis and Dreama Davis.

Jeremy started his career in land surveying in 1991. He became a registered professional land surveying in 2002. He worked for several surveying firms, before establishing Davis Geomatics in 2003. He was licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in the states of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado. Jeremy acquired his CFedS license, and his Licensed State Land Surveyor certificate in 2012.

J D was one of two surveyors in the world to hold RPLS, CFedS, and LSLS licenses.

High Plains Experience, a continuing education accreditation, for surveyors, course was created by Jeremy and several fellow surveyors. He served on several state professional surveying boards and held offices in all.

He married Amie Vincent on June 29, 1996.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Davis, and his grandparents, Imagene and Charles Davis, and Kathy and Merrill Stump.

He is survived by wife, Amie, son, John, and daughter, Ellie of the home. Also survived by brother, Paul Davis and wife Amanda, of Amarillo; sister, Cherie Davis, of Amarillo; brother, Dirk Davis, of Lewisville, Texas; brother, Ross Macon and wife Missy, of Amarillo, Texas; brother, Ryan Macon and wife Sarah, of Amarillo, Texas; and mother, Dreama Brennan of Amarillo, Texas. He had 16 nieces and nephews, and many friends.
