Jeffrey Friedrich Sieber, 34, passed away on April 20, 2022, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. A celebration of Life was held on April 23 at Knik River. Jeffery loved the outdoors; his cremains will be spread throughout Alaska on multiple ATV trips and places that were special to him.
Jeffrey was born on March 4, 1988, in Daytona Beach, Florida to Christian and Tracy (Hart) Sieber. He lived his whole life in Anchorage, from attending and graduating from Bartlett High School in 2006, Jeffrey attended the University of Alaska from 2007 until 2009.
He worked for the Anchorage School District, Grounds Department. Starting there as seasonal help in 2007, returning to work every summer as he studied to get his CDL. He gained his CDL certification in 2012 and started full time with the district. Jefferey continued to work hard and in 2020 became a heavy equipment operator. This was his dream job. He started at the bottom and worked his way up, loving every minute of it. During his time there, he helped many of his fellow co-workers prepare for their CDL's. He had a great work ethic and will greatly be missed in the department.
Jeffrey has always had a love for music; playing every instrument, with base clarinet being his favorite, in high school band and continued with community band for years. On occasion, you could still find him at Bartlett, playing during football games or you could hear him play at the Bear Paw Festival.
He enjoyed his family and friends first and foremost, otherwise you'd find him at community band, ATV-ing; his favorite pastime. The trips always ended with him as muddy as possible. He had no fear of flipping, floating, or getting stuck, it was all fun. He loved snowboarding, being outdoors camping, reading a good book, gaming, staying home watching movies and being a cat dad to Sally. He would constantly send selfies of the two of them loving on each other. Jeffrey was known to be the first to always help.
Men like Jeffrey are few and far between. He always entered a room using random silly voices to announce his presence, and there he would be, with his smile. A smile that would light up any room. If he could make you laugh, it was even better. He loved to be lighthearted and positive, not taking life too seriously. It's hard to find a serious picture of him anywhere.
Jeffrey was an amazing big brother, the oldest to his sisters, Shelbey and Tori, and proud uncle to his niece Harper Lynn. As first born, he made us parents, he will always hold a special place in our hearts.
He loved long road trips with his dad, always with great hopes that they would discover a great new restaurant at their destination.
Jeffrey was a "mama's boy." He always loved coming home for the holidays and holiday meals that went with them. All was right in the world when he had his Peach Cobbler as a birthday cake and some sweet tea.
Erik was his lifelong friend; when Erik married Katt, Katt got a "two for one" special! They shared their lives with Jeffrey, no question. "Thank you for loving our son."
Jeffrey's love was genuine, extraordinary, and special. His presence in our lives will truly be missed.
He is survived by his parents, Christian Sieber and Tracy Price; sisters, Shelbey and Tori Sieber; brother, Erik (Katt) Jorgensen; niece, Harper Lynn Sieber; his "Pranny," Linda Sumner; grandma, Inge Wszola; Pawpaw, Danny Hart and his Nana, Ruby Hart.
Jeffrey is preceded in death by his great aunt Debbie Sumner; uncle, Ronnie Hicks; and cousin, Rhichelle Horton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hungry for Music; 2020 Pennsylvania Ave NW #384, Washington DC 20006.
