Died unexpectedly on July 29, 2022, at age 60. Residence Anderson Twp. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Anderson Twp. on Saturday Aug. 6 at 10:30 AM. Friends may visit the Church on Friday from 5-8 PM. Internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 12359, Habitat for Humanity Fund c/o Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 7770 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45255

I spoke to Jeff in April 2022 to get his advice on a project I was doing for Chobani Yogurt in Idaho. As always, Jeff was helpful and I was able to complete my project. While talking with Jeff, we made plans to play golf sometime during the summer. As plans sometimes do, our golf was put on hold. I was shocked to learn of Jeff's passing and I resolved to not let the busyness of life prevent one from getting together with friends because one never knows when God will call them or you home. Take every opportunity to spend time with your family and friends. Life is short, and sometimes it ends before you know it. Jeff, you were a great colleague and friend to me while we worked for Kroger. My continued condolences to Linda and her sons. May God's peace fill your hearts always.

All of Jeff's colleagues at Kroger Springdale Ice Cream & Beverage were so shocked to learn of Jeff's passing. We only heard about it on Sunday, October 2nd. Jeff and I worked together at Kroger for nearly ten years and after he left Kroger we stayed in touch. This past spring we talked about hitting the links this summer. Jeff was a kind and considerate man, the kind of man who valued friendships. As a professional, he was loyal and hard working and I thoroughly enjoyed my years working with Jeff.
I am so sorry for your loss, Mrs. Gauggel, and for your sons as well. I know that Jeff was a man of strong convictions and believed wholeheartedly in his eternal, heavenly destination. All of us who worked with Jeff convey our deepest sympathies to the family.
