Jamie Evans Obituary

Obituary
Jamie Evans, a loving husband, father, brother, and friend, left this world suddenly and unexpectedly on November 11, 2021, at the age of 57.
He was born on November 16, 1963, to Milo and Delores Evans in Rapid City, South Dakota. A state-champion wrestler, he enjoyed all sorts of sports and outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding and camping.
Jamie moved around with his family, finally arriving in Leadville, Colorado, where he graduated from High School and met his loving wife, Linda. They married in 1989 and moved to Aurora, Colorado. After graduating from Barnes Business College, Jamie began his 30-year career in finance, earning his Certified Financial Planning (CFP) and Certified Employment Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certifications along the way. Jamie loved a good financial podcast and was an avid reader on the subject. He spent the last 17 years of his career working for Charles Schwab as an Internal Help Desk Advisor. He was also a devoted Christian and recently signed up to earn his Christian Kingdom Advisor (CKA) certification.
During their 32-year marriage, Jamie and Linda welcomed and raised two amazing children, Taylor, and Logan. Although Jamie had many interests, his favorite activity was spending time with his wife, his children, and his extended family, always playing the host to barbeques, dinners, or game nights. He truly loved his family very much.
Jamie is survived by his wife, Linda (Green), his daughter, Taylor and his son, Logan, his parents Milo and Delores Evans of Penrose, CO, siblings Timothy (Sandy) of Monument, CO, Corrina, of Sax City, IA and Melissa Shanks (Phillip), of Broomfield, CO, and numerous other relatives.
His celebration of life will be December 4, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, tunnel2towers.org or the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, stjude.org.

I wanted to express my condolences for Jamie and his family. I worked with him at Charles Schwab. I never met him in person, but he was a delight to talk to you on the phone. I got so excited when I heard his voice on the other side. Jamie was such a kind and friendly person to work with. I was very saddened to hear about his death. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Our deepest condolences. Jamie, you will be missed by so many. You were always there for our representatives to help them in their development. You were a great colleague, a role model to many of us in how to show respect, enthusiasm and compassion in what we do.

I remember the days we spent in the wrestling room tussling amid the heat, sweat, and stink. In all it´s misery, Jamie always smiled and encouraged us all. What a smile and laugh he adored his tired face with. Never too serious in those heated moments, he always patted us on the back, pushed us to go further, and motivated us to reach farther. A great leader and habitual optimist, I´m sorry your gone so soon my friend. I extend my most heart felt sympathies to your family. I will remember you with gratitude and fondness. Good bye my friend.
