Bobby Kimbro Obituary

Bobby Wayne Kimbro, age 83, of Castalian Springs, Tennessee, entered into rest on October 17, 2025. Born on May 19, 1942, in Madison, Tennessee, he was a 1960 graduate of Madison High School. Bobby was a hardworking man with a true entrepreneurial spirit. He built a successful career through his HVAC businesses as co-owner of Kimbro Electric, owner of Kimbro Air, and retired in 2008. He expanded his ventures to include Marine Land and several rental properties. In addition to his business pursuits, Bobby was also a devoted farmer, cultivating corn, soybeans, tobacco, and sunflowers over the years. In his leisure time, Bobby could often be found at the Gallatin Country Club, Woody’s or The Sandtrap, enjoying a round of golf or the company of good friends. He was an avid golfer, an excellent cook, and loved spending time outdoors—whether fishing or hosting family and friends for his annual dove hunt. Known for his humor and quick wit, Bobby loved to laugh, cut up with his friends, and give everyone a nickname that stuck. Bobby will be remembered for his genuine personality and the countless laughs he shared. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Bobby Wayne Kimbro is survived by his children, Ricky Kimbro (Elaine), Lori Hall (Paul), Derek Kimbro (Cindy); grandchildren, Jessica Leftrick (Jason), Casey Scruggs (Jr), Chris Kimbro (Tiffany), Jamie Sisco (Derek), Taylor Brazel, Amanda Hall, Tanner Hall, Tyler Kimbro (Bobbi-Jo), Kendal Kimbro, Casey Goins (Caroline), Justin Goins, Sydney Goins; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Parks (Charles); brother, Ronnie Kimbro; son-in-law, Richard Martin; and his longtime companion, Phyllis Johnson. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelli Martin; father, Malcolm Kimbro; mother, Mary (Prince) Kimbro; and sister, Carolyn Kimbro. Visitation with the Kimbro family will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., and again on Wednesday, October 22, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00P.M. Burial will immediately follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens.
