Grant Shiplett Allen, 50, of Painesville, passed away June 9, 2022, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 11, 1971, in Cleveland.
Grant was the dear son of James Allen; brother of Brittany Segal (Kevin Oliver) and Kaitlyn (Abram) Swart; cherished uncle of Jerome (Jenna) Becks, Tamera Becks, Terrell Becks, Carlos Rodriguez and Finnley Swart. He also leaves his caregiver, Sarah Warne.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maureen (nee Shiplett) Allen; and girlfriend, Beth Ishee.
A Celebration of Life service will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Fairport Congregational Church, 308 Third St., Fairport Harbor. Rev. Tina Green will officiate. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name are suggested to Fairport Congregational Church in Fairport Harbor.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
