Passed away February 1, 2022 at the age of 82. George was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 15, 1939, the son of Odisseas and Bessie (Psaltis) Mellios. George served for the United States Navy. He enjoyed restoring cars, cutting glass, and cutting wood. George was an upstanding man that would give the shirt off of his back to anyone that was in need.
George was preceded in death by his parents, son Nickolas Mellios, stepson Randy Ginther and sister Angeline "Kiki" Demas. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Ruth, son Ritchie (Tina) Ginther, and grandchildren Kayla Towery and Danica Ginther.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 – 11:00 a.m. with Military Honors at Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge. Visitations will be one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in loving memory of George Mellios to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family is being served by Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge. Online condolences may be placed at www.millsfuneral.com

Ruth,
I've said this before and I will say it again. You and George display a love everyone looks for in life. I will forever strive to showing the grace and love you two showed those in your life. Viv and I love you both so much. Rest easy George, go make trouble with my Jorge.
