We can only hope that we reach 100 years old, like Frances, while still trying to escape from the nursing home to hop on her John Deere tractor to mow the lawn.
Frances M. Borgman (nee Viel), formerly of Bright, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at the age of 100. She was born in the Bright area to August and Alice (nee Marquette) Viel on January 8, 1922. On February 15, 1947, Frances married Harold Borgman and together they were blessed with two children: Roger and Russell. She started her working career at the Western Auto, as a salesclerk, and used her first paycheck to buy a refrigerator. Frances was always a hard worker and loved mowing the lawn on her John Deere tractor.
Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband: Harold Borgman; beloved son: Russell Borgman; and brother: Robert Viel.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son: Roger (Linda) Borgman; granddaughter: Christy; and great grandson: David Brown.
Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St, Harrison, on Friday, June 17, 2022, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow at Gibson Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Bright Fire and Rescue Unit. A funeral home representative will be able to assist you with your donation at the services. If you are unable to attend, please mail your memorial directly to the funeral home.
