Edward C. Hollomon, age 70 of Lenoir City, TN, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Ed was a follower of Jesus Christ, a loving and caring husband, an incredible dad and a loving "pops" to his grandchildren. He retired from Ryerson Tull Steel Company after 30 years of service. After retiring from Ryerson, Ed worked his "retirement job" at Avalon Golf Club. He was a member of First Baptist Concord, where he faithfully attended and served for over 30 years. For years he was involved with the youth at First Baptist Concord, where he made an impact on countless lives of students. More recently he has been involved as a greeter and usher as well as host for the new members class at his church. After retirement Ed spent countless hours delivering hope to the families of rural Appalachia through his favorite ministry, Mission of Hope. He was preceded in death by his sister Shirley and parents, Carol and Lucille Hollomon. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Marybeth, his sons Christopher and Nicholas, his brother Lee, his sister Annette, his grandchildren Leul, Lucy, Myles and Saul and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive family and friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at First Baptist Concord in Farragut, TN. A celebration of life service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. John Mark Harrison officiating. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting you make donations in Ed's honor to his favorite ministry, Mission of Hope.
