Earnest (Big Wheel) Singleton departed this life on October 30, 2023 at the age of 75 at Presbyterian Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He was born on August 3, 1948 in Midway, Georgia to loving parents Edward Singleton Sr., and Leary Mae (Harvey) Singleton. He attended Liberty High School in Midway, Georgia. Later on, he moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1970 where he resided there for 50 plus years. Earnest also worked for Harris Plumbing Company where he was a plumber for 16 years.
Earnest is preceded in death by his father, Edward Singleton Sr., his mother Leary Mae (Harvey) Singleton, his siblings: Edward Singleton Jr., Danny Singleton, Terry Singleton, and Tracy Singleton.
Earnest is survived by his daughter Michelle Robertson of Midway, Georgia, A step-daughter Tiona Peeler (Dwayne) of Charlotte, North Carolina, A step-son Tyron Legions (Jenifer) of Charlotte, North Carolina. 7 Siblings: Virginia Hills of Atlanta, Georgia, Dorothy Cooper of Hinesville, Georgia, Wendell Singleton (Linda) of Hinesville, Georgia, Brenda Singleton of Midway, Georgia, Jerril Singleton (Marie) of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, Peggy Gadson (Clarence) of Savannah, Georgia; Curtis Singleton (Sylvia) of Brooklyn, New York, 1 Sister and Law: Karen Mitchell- Singleton of Glennville, Georgia. Grandchildren: Damein J. Gamble Scott of Midway, Georgia and 10 step-grandchildren Great grandchildren – Da'Mir I. Gamble of Midway, Georgia and 7 step-grandchildren And a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
