Earl M. (Dickey) Adams, age 72, of Mt. Sterling, KY, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at his home on Cobbler Lane. Dickey was born on August 30, 1952 in Pike County, KY, the son of the late Carl and Phyllis Stacy Adams. Dickey was a retired teamster from Angelo Concrete in Detroit, Michigan.
He is survived by 2 granddaughters Lindsey Faith Adams of Pikeville, KY, and Layla Adams of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan; one great grandson Rei Montgomery Prichard of Pikeville, KY; one sister Charlene Hopkins of Mt. Sterling, KY; 5 brothers Carl Adams Jr. of Elkhorn City, KY, Paul (Tracy) Adams of Mt. Sterling, KY, Danny (Annette) Adams of Shelbyville, KY, Bruce (Tammy) Adams and Brian (Kelley) Adams all of Mt. Sterling, KY; and his dog Buddy.
He was preceded in death by sons Anthony, Kevin, Brandon and one infant son, Dickey Neal Adams; one sister, Dottie Adams Coleman.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 6, at 2:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Mike Stacy.
Burial will follow at Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Paul Adams, Bruce Adams, Brian Adams, Zach Adams, Willie Rose, Ryan Daff.
Honorary Pallbearers: Carl Adams Jr, Danny Adams, Matthew Adams.
Funeral services entrusted to the care of Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals, 1002 Woodford Drive, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353
