Bruce Wayne Simpson Obituary

Bruce "Hoss" Wayne Simpson, age 64, a longtime Caney, OK resident, was born on Sunday, June 30, 1957, to Jerry Wayne and Mona Alyne (Smith) Simpson, at Oklahoma City, OK.
Hoss passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Durant, OK. He graduated from Caney High School in 1975.
Hoss was a Supervisor of the transfer station for the City of Atoka. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, was a Master Mason, enjoyed hunting, working with his hands, fishing, telling stories, blacksmithing and loved playing with his grandchildren.
Hoss is survived by his mother, Mona Simpson of Caney, OK; son, Kody Simpson and wife Shelly of Caney, OK; daughter, Monica Williams and husband Chase of Caney, OK; sister, Carla Daniel and husband Billy Don of Denison, TX; grandchildren, Maverick and Olivia; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Hoss was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wayne Simpson; and best friend, Larry Vernon Rose.
