We celebrate the life of Bruce John Andronica who was born to Rose and John Andronica on July 11, 1948, in Brooklyn, NY. As a young child, he moved with his family to Bethpage, NY, where he attended local schools and enjoyed building lifelong friendships and caddying at the Bethpage Golf Course.
Bruce was a proud Navy Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. After his discharge from the Navy, Bruce attended Nassau Community College and Long Island University at CW Post, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. He subsequently joined the Suffolk County Police Department (SCPD), ultimately achieving the rank of Seargent.
He absolutely loved his work as a Police Officer and Seargent, where, over decades, he demonstrated his keen intelligence and calm leadership. He retired from SCPD in 2012, to care for his first grandchild. Bruce loved skiing, golfing, gardening, sailing and playing hockey. He coached his children's baseball and softball teams and for years was known as the dad who played street hockey with the neighborhood kids. However, his greatest passion was his family. He was an outstanding son, husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor.
Bruce passed peacefully on April 9, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinsonism and Lewy Body Dementia. He is survived by his loving wife of over fifty years, Patricia, his son, Gregory(Jennifer), daughter Elizabeth DeFalco (Ralph), and grandchildren Nicholas and Anabelle DeFalco, and Bianca and Roman Bruce Andronica. Survivors also include his sister, Joyce Ancha (Mike), niece Laura Smith (Scott) and nephew Scott Ancha (Andrea), many cousins and countless friends.

Bruce Andronica, from high school, till forever, will be my friend. We shared so much, from working as Police officers to golf to ski trips. After Vietnam, being with Bruce and Tom and Billy the fun was endless. Bruce married Pat and I married Colleen and our sons were born on the same day. Bruce and Pat made my life better. He always had a calm demeanor and made everything we did together much more enjoyable. I will miss him terribly, but I thank God, I was lucky to know Him.

My friend. Memories live on and mine of you are very special to me. The many times as guys in our twenties, we sat and talked of life and where
we were headed. In retrospect I had never been so close to a person to
even consider sharing as we did then. The years after the service that we roomed with Doctor Tom, the three of us really did have some of the best years of our lives. You will always be with me in spirit and I will miss
you. May your loved ones take solice in knowing that as you lived the kind of life you did, you are with our Heavenly Father. God bless your family
during this trying time. Love you man, your Best Man, Bill
