Brenda Gail Deck, age 58 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, earned her angel's wings and went Home to Heaven on May 21, 2022. Brenda was born in Oklahoma City to James and June Simpson on July 19, 1963. She attended Del City High School, graduating with the Class of 1982. She went on to enroll in the nursing program at Mid-Del Vo-Tech, later going on to work with cancer patients, and in the ER. She then went to work for Lewis Pools, leaving the company after seventeen years of service. At her time of passing, Brenda had a rewarding job at Check Cashers in Oklahoma City.
Brenda was an absolute joy to be around. She was kind, empathetic, humble, and beautiful, lighting up every room she ever walked into. She loved the Lord with all her heart, and she was a member of the Liberty Pentecostal Church in Oklahoma City, where she enjoyed attending services and making new friends. She also loved being outdoors, and you could often find Brenda outside tending to her gorgeous flower gardens.
More than anything in her life, family was Brenda's top priority. She loved being with her husband Mike, the love of her life for 40 years. The couple loved to travel, especially to the islands, and they often enjoyed riding their motorcycle together on the open road. Brenda loved going out to "Bike Night" where she enjoyed riding and hanging out with her friends. She was a wonderful, patient mother to her two children. She had a special bond with her son, and she was always there for her daughter, often giving her advice about her own flower gardens. She was incredibly supportive of her whole family, and a wonderful role model for her children. She loved to have fun, and she adored watching NFL football. Brenda looked forward to Monday night football each week and loved having her family and friends over for the game. They always had a full house, and the fun-loving bunch would place dollar bets, order pizza, and simply enjoy each other's company. Brenda's sweet, loving heart and her unwavering strength touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all those who were honored to know her.
She is preceded in death by her in-laws, James and Wanda Deck, her maternal grandparents, Charles and Sarah Long, and her paternal grandparents, Granny and Papa Simpson.
Left behind to treasure her memory are her loving husband, Michael W. Deck, of their home; two children, Michael J. Deck, and Crystal G. Pearson; her parents, James and June Simpson; one brother, Lonnie Simpson; six grandchildren, Kaylee, Keira, Karly, Abigail, Fabien, and Brayden; and a host of loving extended family and dear friends.
