Funeral services for Mr. Billy Hilton Harris will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, March 21, 2025, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ben Laird officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
Mr. Hilton Harris, age 62, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Hilton was born on October 6, 1962 and was raised in Meehan, MS. He loved his family, friends, and neighbors. He would greet you with a smile and a joke. He always wanted to make everyone laugh.
Hilton was in his own words, "The second best heavy equipment operator and he would let you know if he ever met the first."
He was a founding and active member of the Meehan Volunteer Fire Department. He loved serving his community. Hilton could be heard crowing or shouting "Who let the dawgs out?" at various Clarkdale games.
His second greatest love beside his wife, was camping at Okatibbee. He met Lisa there in the summer of '81, and this meeting would later unite two families in a tight knit community. Every summer was spent camping at the lake as he watched his family grow. A love he passed onto his children, nieces, and nephews.
Hilton was loved by all and will dearly missed.
Hilton is survived by his wife, Lisa Harris; children, Chris Harris (Nikki), Shelby Boles (Josh), Noah Harris (Rachel), and Kevin Garner; siblings, Derwin Harris; niece, Sarah Williams (Carter), and nephews, Patrick Harris (Jada), and CJ Harris; great-nieces and nephews, Kaylee Harris, John Carter Williams, Emma Jo Harris, Mason Williams, Jordan Williams, and Jack Harris, and special aunt and uncle, Yvonne and Dale Larimore.
Mr. Harris was greeted in Heaven by his parents, Billy Joe and Mary Lou Harris; brother, Ervin Harris; In-laws, James and Barbara Finton, and sister-in-law, Tammy Harris.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to your local Volunteer Fire Department.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home from 5:00PM until 7:00PM.
A one hour visitation will be held prior to funeral services on Friday at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
