Billie J. Blair of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on June 4, 2022, at the age of 77. Billie was born on January 27, 1945, in Oklahoma City to Earnest and Virginia Codner. Until her retirement, Billie had a rewarding career as a Manager in the Finance industry.
Billie was a lovely, stylish lady with an adventurous spirit. Never leaving her house without donning a full face of makeup, Billie always loved looking her best. She lived her life to the fullest and absolutely loved to spend time outside in her garden. She loved keeping her mind active and enjoyed playing the slots at the casino, working sudoku puzzles, and writing poetry, even having one of her poems published in the local newspaper after the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. She also loved watching OKC Thunder basketball and enjoyed reading the newspaper each day.
More than anything in this life, Billie cherished her family, loving them all equally and never playing favorites. She was the peacemaker in the family, and the glue that held them all together. She was full of love and wisdom, and those in her life often came to her for advice, knowing that Billie would always lend a kind ear. Anytime she was expecting a visit from her family, she would spend the entire week leading up to it preparing her home for their arrival. She was an excellent cook, known for her homemade potato salad and delicious sweet potato casserole, and she enjoyed teaching her children and grandchildren how to cook. She also loved spoiling her animals, two dogs, and a bird. Billie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia (Hendrix) Codner, her father, Earnest Codner, a sister, Bertha, and two brothers, Charles, and Jeff.
Left behind to treasure her memory are her husband of 42 years, Allen Blair; four children, Chad Harbin, Kerri Redus and partner Cindy, Patrick Harbin and partner Angela, and Michael Blair and partner Celeste; her grandchildren Wesley, Kinsey, Bethany, Anysia, Blake, Tanner, Dalton, Cody, Bryan, Brad, Michael, and Mario, and several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sonja, and Della; her beloved animals, dogs Bentley, and Cooper, and bird Oliver; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
