Benjamin West Obituary

Benjamin F. West, 70, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Ben was born on August 14, 1954, to Benjamin W. West and Laura Humm, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Ben worked for the Pennsylvania State Senate in The Legislative Data Processing Department Center. He also trained race horses at Penn National Race Track. Ben enjoyed doing things for the church. He loved watching the New York Yankees play and coached local little league in his younger years. Ben was a loving and caring person; he would help anyone who needed something. Most of all, he relished his many local trips with his daughter, Rebekah. Ben enjoyed many things and going places and he also enjoyed cooking. Ben enjoyed having cookouts with his son Adam. He also enjoyed spending time his grandkids Kylee and Connor West. He also liked plants and movies. Ben is survived by his daughter Rebekah S. West, son Adam West, wife (Jamie), grandchildren Kylee and Connor West, surrogate grandchildren Madysen and Samantha Isenhour, sister-in-law Cathy Wagner, sister-in-law Rebecca Probst, husband (Daryl), also his brother-in-law Gurney Wagner III, wife (Carolyn)as well as many nieces and nephews. Sarah Smith, Zachary Probst, wife (Chirstina), Chirstopher Probst, Elizabeth Probst, husband (Samuel) Colton Wagner, wife (Marie) Laura Wagner, husband (Jesse) A visitation will be held from 1:30PM to 2:30PM on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Bible Baptist Church, Shiremanstown, Pennsylvania, with a funeral service to follow at 2:30PM.
