Barbara Jean Parker Phillips, affectionately known as Bobbie or Tee Bobbie, entered eternal rest on January 7, 2025. Born on November 24, 1955, in Belle Rose, Louisiana.
Bobbie was a light in the lives of everyone who knew her. Her love, humor, and generosity left an unforgettable mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Bobbie spent much of her life as a talented hairstylist, using her skilled hands to make people look and feel their best. But her talents didn't stop there, she was also a gifted cook, creating delicious meals that would make you call her and say "Bobbie did you cook today"...
Every dish she prepared carried love and warmth and she never used a recipe book, she was just that good. We will all miss her Mac and Cheese and I know Val will miss her cabbage.
A natural giver with a big heart, Tee Bobbie had a way of making everyone feel like family. She was known for her humor and funny personality, always quick with a question or comment that could make you laugh and think, "Now why would she ask me something like that?" Her playful nature often showed in her fusses with her sister Wanda. They'd argue one moment and make up the next, so fast that no one had time to say, "Guess what they're fussing about now!" Wanda-and the rest of the family-will deeply miss those moments.
Tee Bobbie's home was a place of love and comfort, always open to anyone in need. She had a unique way of offering you something to take home-But don't let her catch you touching something of hers without asking, or you'd quickly find yourself on the receiving end of one of her fusses-though you'd leave with a smile and maybe even the very thing you touched, because her giving heart always won.
Bobbie was the cherished daughter of George and Velma Parker who now welcome her with open arms in Heaven's gates. She is survived by her loving siblings:
Allen Parker (Elsie), Gerald Parker (Patricia), Wanda Cheatham (Kenneth), Warren Parker (Cynthia), Marilyn Allen (Rev,.Steve), and Elaine Harris (David).
Her legacy of love continues through her nieces and nephews.
Bobbie also held a special place in her heart for her godchildren: Kiera Williams, Claudine Jarvis, Davin Harris, Chalsie Monroe and Tyrese Ester.
She will be deeply missed by her dear friends who were more like sisters: Priscilla Monroe, Dorris Nixon, Nellie Mae Ester, Greer Spurlock, Melanie Jarvis, Linda Tilley, Tonya Auber, and Lynn Campbell
She is preceded in death by her siblings, George Parker Sr., George Parker Jr., Ricky Parker, Michael Parker, and Carolyn Parker Laiche.
