It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ayden Cooper Mee announces his passing.

From Indian Mills, NJ, was 11 years old when he passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021.

Ayden was a loving and kind boy, who liked school and was a good student. He dreamed of becoming either a paleontologist or a geneticist when he grew up. Ayden was new to Boy Scouts and enjoyed archery and shooting. All who knew him loved his spunk and quick wit. He loved animals, enjoyed horseback riding, taking care of chickens, and had great love for his dog, Flash, and his cat, Lexi. Ayden also was an avid reader who loved fantasy novels, especially anything with dragons.

Beloved son of Carrie and Bill Gates and the late Jason Mee.

Cherished grandson of Rita Stephans, Joseph Oravik, and Bill and Lyn Gates

He is also survived by his many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends welcome Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.

Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday in St. Maurice Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Forest Hills, PA at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles, PA.

There will be an additional memorial service held on Thursday, September 2 at 11:00am at Holy Eucharist Church in Tabernacle, NJ with a repast to follow in Hoffman Hall.
