Anna Toomey Obituary

NORTHBOROUGH
Anna T. Toomey, known by all as Ann, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 after a long and courageous fight against pulmonary fibrosis. She was 90 years of age and the beloved wife of 59 years to William E. Toomey, Jr until his own passing on May 14, 2009.
Ann was born in Concord, one of two children to the late Clyde and Anna (Kaskiewicz) McAllister. In 1956 Bill and Ann moved to Northborough where they raised their five children; Ann has remained a resident here since. Ann always said her greatest accomplishment was her children. She was most proud of all of them and she loved them fiercely until the very end. She leaves behind her daughter Lynne Toomey and her granddaughter Abbey with whom she resided for the past 20 years. She also leaves her three sons, William Toomey III and his wife Virginia of Berlin, Steven Toomey of Westborough, John Toomey and his wife Barbara of Maynard and a second daughter, Patricia Lemieux and her husband Bruce of Narragansett. In addition, Ann is survived by grandchildren William, Heather, Scott, Meghan, Zachary and Samantha; her great-grandchildren Carina, William, Hailey, Sienna, Della, Rhea and Miles and one brother Clyde McAllister Jr of N. Brookfield.
For many years Ann was employed as a cashier at Iandoli's Supermarket in Westborough. She loved her job and all the customers she met. She also worked as the head housekeeper at a local hotel prior to her retirement.
You could always find Ann watching Dateline mysteries or her Wednesday night lineup which included Chicago Med, Fire and PD shows. She loved her Dachshund, Weiner who recently passed away last September. We are certain Weiner was right there, at Heaven's Gate, waiting for Ann to come Home.

The Toomey family wishes to thank the caring staff at Beaumont-Northborough for the love and support shown to Ann during her last days. A special heart-felt thank you goes out to nurse Karen for her dedicated compassion and friendship towards Ann.
Ann will be missed every day. "If something makes you sad when it ends, it must have been pretty wonderful when it was happening." Our Mom was pretty wonderful. <3
