Anna Green, age 51, the loving mother of three darling children, was born to Sarah Baker Green & Bernie Green Jr. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, July 17, 2022 after a courageous battle with a rare heart disease. She was born in 1971 in Lumberton, NC and grew up surrounded by her family in Rowland, N.C. Anna had five siblings, one which preceded her in death the late Carolyn McRae, LaVonnia Baker, Angela Murphy, Bernie Green III, and Matthew Green.
Anna was influenced by her family to be a loving, care giving women, always giving her time to others which she put into her acts of service and many endeavors. She demonstrated the term, "Its more blessed to give than to receive". Anna was a licensed phlebotomist, receiving her licenses from Robeson Community College, in Lumberton, NC. She also received a Degree in Education from Bladen Community College, Whiteville, NC; a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville, NC and a Masters Degree in the science of Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona as well as other accomplishments. Her drive and the example she set led her children to becoming driven and goal oriented.
As a mother and daughter, Anna was loving, gifted and full of life. She always could be counted on in supporting her children during their involvement in school activities or community functions. She carried out the same support with her grandson Kentrell. She loved and provided a safety net for her mother, Sarah Green. Anna thought it was very important to show love through any method that she could also to everyone that she could. She worked most of her career in the health care field. Her last employment was as a PCT at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC. She will be greatly missed by her work family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Bernie Green Jr, and sister Carolyn McCrae.
Those who loved her most and who will miss her presence most are her children, Kaycee Green of the home, Antwain McCallum Jr of Rowland, NC and Kayanna McCallum of Fayetteville, NC. There will be a big vacant spot in the heart of her mother Sarah Green of Rowland, NC. Anna bonded closely with her only grandchild, Kentrell Green of the home. They shared many golden moments that he will not soon forget: her siblings LaVonnia Baker, Angela Murphy, Bernie Green III, and Matthew Green; brother in law, Curtis Murphy, several aunts and uncles and other family members.
We know we can't have you but we're happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back. Goodbye to a wonderful woman and beautiful daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.
Psalm 121
King James Version
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
