Andrew D. Mitchell, 31, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Born in 1992, he was the son of Anthony Mitchell and Tammie (Bishop) Diglio, wife of Everett Diglio. He was the loving husband to Jacey (Sheckler) Mitchell, the proud father of Matilda Mae Mitchell (Tilly), and faithful companion to their family dog Crosby.
Andrew lived a life guided by faith, love, and a profound dedication to his family and community. He approached life with boundless passion and unwavering kindness as an architect, snowboard instructor, and craft beer connoisseur. Andrew's love for building extended beyond blueprints; He enjoyed repurposing skis alongside his father, crafting innovative designs and functional pieces. He was dedicated to his profession of Architecture, giving back through being an EMT, and sharing his passion for snow sports by teaching others.
In addition to his wife, daughter, and parents, Andrew is survived by his brother Matthew Mitchell, stepsister Tina Diglio, paternal grandparents David and Rosemary Mitchell, in-laws Lawrence and Nancy Sheckler, godmother Patricia Vanegas, and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who adored him. He was predeceased by his stepbrother, Everett Diglio Jr., and maternal grandparents, Virgil and Phyllis Bishop.
A memorial service to celebrate Andrew's life will take place on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Faith Church, located at 6528 Hamilton Blvd, Allentown, PA 18106, starting at 4:00 PM. Prior to the service, friends and family are invited to a calling hour from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Stephens Funeral Home is privileged to coordinate the arrangements.
As a tribute to Andrew's love for flannel shirts, those attending are welcome to wear them in his memory. In celebration of Andrew's life and his passion for giving, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, friends and loved one's honor Andrew's memory by performing a good deed and encouraging others to pay it forward. Let us continue Andrew's legacy of generosity and compassion!

3 years ago I shadowed Andrew in a snowboard lesson, and he gave me some great tips on teaching snowboarding. He was always a very welcoming, and warmhearted guy. Andrew would always make me chuckle in the morning meetings because he always had something to say in the meetings. I remember there was a festival at Camelback and we had some beers outside the parking lot and shared some laughs. I will always think of him when I teach.

When I first met Andrew it was like, who is this guy?!... But he quickly wins you over with his passion to learn and infectious spirited attitude. I will never forget during his first week at MKSD architects when he told me "l'm smellin what you're stepping in".
