Andrew Gabaldon Obituary

Andrew Gerald Gabaldon was called to be with the lord on Sunday, July 17, 2022. His family and friends were by his side when he passed at his home in Los Lunas and had been dealing with kidney and heart health issues, for some time now. His heart finally couldn't take it any more causing a massive heart attack. Andrew was born on July 25, 1955, in San Diego California to his parents Edwin and Marina Gabaldon. He was one of 13 children. Andrew is preceded in death by his brother Ervin; his father, and mother Edwin and Marina Gabaldon. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda S Gabaldon, and their 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Their son Warren Gabaldon; Ervin and daughter Linsey Gabaldon of Los Lunas. Their daughter Marina Montoya (Gabaldon) husband, Mark Montoya their 2 children, son Zachary and daughter Ashley Montoya of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Andrew's his sister very dear to him Hazel Humphrey; other sisters, Laura Butler, Carmela Hastings, Norma Stanton, and Zenaida Chavez; brothers, Carlos, Norbert, Raymond, Leonard, Price, and Miguel Gabaldon; cousins and great friends. Andrew was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. When Andrew was younger, he loved driving his 74 Camaro. He had a passion collecting antique cars and anything he could sell. Andrew and Linda would frequently go do estate and yard sales all over the place. Andrew enjoyed the summer garden; that his sister Hazel would grow. Andrew was the type of person that would help his family and friends and yet never asked for help. He was most definitely, a man of his word! Andrew was a great provider for his family. He had a big heart and loved unconditionally. Prior to his passing he had one request and that was to write a part on his own obituary. Andrew has always been there for any of his family members when they were seeking help, no matter what. His wife Linda even helped in taking care of Andrew's dad, Edwin prior to his parting unconditionally. He said a real person is recognized by his soul and helping others not for selfish or personal gain at the expense of others hurt, "How he hurt" with the unrecognition of family. He wanted to be remembered as a great human being despite his many faults that he was able to carry. His faults did not play a role in his true being. "A true husband, grandfather, brother, friend and being who cared and shared. Oh, how he will be greatly missed. He leaves behind LOVE, and heart, also a remembrance of quality to expand our wills to help your loved ones and others.
